MONTHLY MEETING
EZRA S. GRIFFIN CAMP #8
January 9, 1992
The meeting was brought to order by Camp Commander,
Bob
Yeager Jr., followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

OLD BUSINESS:
Even though the increase in dues became effective
last year, a motion to increase was made at this meeting.
The motion was make by Ed Faatz and seconded by Bill Burns.
As stated by Joe Long, the necessity to increase the Camp dues was
primarily due to the higher per capita tax being paid to the Department.
NEW BUSINESS:
The following nominations were made for the election of
new Camp Officers for 1992:
The next Open House at the Museum and Library will be held on February 16, 1992 from 12 to 4 p.m.
Bob Price is still recovering in the hospital and Jim Turnbull is also recovering from his auto accident.
Joe Long expressed a desire to get more members active in the Camp as well as a strong support at this Testimonial Dinner and upcoming Encampment.
It was also noted that if anyone has any ideas about a speaker or any other idea to better the Camp, please bring it to the attention of the Camp Commander or any other Officer.
OTHER BUSINESS:
A motion to draft a formal letter of inquiry about the
Civil War items, books and information at the Kingston Armory was made by Ed
Faatz and seconded by Bob Shaffer.
Bob Shaffer was elected to gather information and draft the letter to
be sent to the Armory.
With no further business, questions or comments, a motion
to adjourn was made by Joe Long and seconded by Ed Faatz.
