MONTHLY MEETING
September 10, 1992
The meeting was called to order by Brother Joe Long followed by the recital of
the Pledge of Allegiance.
Other members in attendance were:
Bill Loindberg | Bob Shaffer | Joe Long | Russ P. Jones | Russ W. Jones |
Bob Yeager | Chuck Jones | Guest | Guest |
No minutes were read due to the absence of the assistant secretary.
Joe Long reported on the Auxiliary having 15 full members and one associate
member.
OLD BUSINESS:
Letters have been sent to four members about late dues.
After many attempts to correct the problem, without any success, it
was agreed to drop the following members from the roster:
Tim Shane | D. Symes | Frank Mroczka, Esq. | L.L. Scott Jr. |
The Lindberg's, Long's and Shaffer's visited the Camp in Pen Argyl where they
were treated to a very nice dinner and cordial conversation.
Joe discussed his upcoming visits:
Gettysburg, Maine, Testimonials, etc.
He has a very busy schedule.
We have a very good size group going to the Remembrance Day Celebration on
November 14 in Gettysburg.
Joe discussed a project he did for the Auxiliary purchasing 1000 labeled
envelopes for the cost of $30.00.
He asked for donations from Camp members to help defray the cost.
NEW BUSINESS:
Joe Long reported on an Award for 7 or more new members.
This is something to strive for.
The Camp has received an Award for the quality of our Museum.
It was suggested by Bill Lindberg that this kind of publicity should
definitely be printed in any newspaper and publication that will accept it.
With no further business, questions or comments,
the meeting was adjourned.
Respectfully Submitted,
Robert C. Shaffer
Asst. Secretary
