MONTHLY MEETING
February 20, 1997
The meeting was called to order by Commander Russell W. Jones,
followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

The minutes from the January
meeting were read.
A motion to accept the minutes was made by Joe Long and seconded
by Russ P. Jones.
All were in favor.
FINANCIAL REPORT:
The financial audit was held on February 8 by Russ W. Jones, Bill Lindberg and Phil Jones.
Joe Long read the financial report with the following information:
End balance on January 1, 1997 was $1,582.51.
64 members have paid their dues.
Help members fun $131.60.
December winner was Kim Wright and January winner was Tim Astleford.
A motion to accept the Financial report was made by Bob Yeager and
seconded by Dennis Rightmire.
All were in favor and the report was referred to the audit
committee.
OLD
BUSINESS:
There have been two Saturdays that we came to do the inventory.
Russ W. Jones,
Joe Long, Phil Jones, Bob Yeager, Russ P. Jones, Bill Lindberg and
Ron Albert.
There will be another chance to do inventory this next Saturday, February
22 at 8:00 a.m.
No news on the cannon issue.
Joe Long is
waiting for the dates for the Essay contest.
NEW
BUSINESS:
Joe Long brought up the idea of having a phone put into the Museum.
Russ P. Jones volunteered to look into it to see what the cost
would be.
Application of Clifton R. Moore and Howard E. Lane were reviewed by a committee of Carl Miller, Dennis Rightmire and Bob Yeager.
Phil Jones, Russ W. Jones and Dennis Rightmire attended the meeting of the
Civil War Round Table.
At the meeting, Joe Long presented many of his artifacts.
50/50 drawing was won by Russ W. Jones.
With no further business, questions or discussion, a motion to adjourn was
made by Joe Long and seconded by Phil Jones.
All were in favor.
