MONTHLY MEETING
December 17, 1999
The meeting was called to order by Commander Phil C. Jones, followed by the
Pledge of Allegiance.
Other members in attendance were:

The minutes from the November
meeting were approved as read.
A motion to accept the minutes was made by Russ P. Jones and seconded by
Howard Lane. All were in favor.
FINANCIAL REPORT:
Joe Long read the financial report with the following information:
End Balance as of 14 December - $3,009.80
Help members fund $221.50 ($30 each to families of Carl Miller and Ed Walter)
58 Members have paid their dues
A motion to accept the Financial report was made by Bob Shaffer and seconded
by Ron Albert. All were
in favor and the report was referred to the audit committee.
Note: The annual audit
will be done before the February meeting.
OLD BUSINESS:
Russ P. Jones’ term on the Memorial Association Board has expired.
A motion to appoint him to the Board for one year was made by Joe
Long and seconded by Bob Shaffer.
All were in favor.
Ron Albert, Bob Yeager and Russ P. Jones reviewed the applications for 2 new
Associate Members (John Conforti and Bernard S. Kapinus) and 1 new Junior
Member (Christopher P. Conforti).
Applications were approved.
NEW BUSINESS:
Joe Long advised the Camp that Mark Myers had notified him that he was not
going to take the Office of Junior Vice Commander, but he would stay as
Chaplain. A motion to nominate
Howard Lane for Jr. Vice was made by Joe Long and seconded by Bob Yeager.
All were in favor. No
other nominations were made.
Secretary Shaffer tabled the following correspondence: A thank you card from the
family of Ed Walter, a Christmas card from the Department and the minutes from
the Mid Year Meeting.
Commander Jones discussed the idea of having a large desk calendar for keeping
track of all the upcoming events.
At this time, Commander Jones appointed Senior Vice Commander Ron Albert to Temporary Camp Commander for the purpose of conducting Election of Camp Officers. Ron called the meeting to order and asked if there were any further nominations. None were tabled, so the nomination of Camp Officers were closed. The meeting was then turned back over to Commander Jones and he asked Secretary Shaffer to cast his vote for nominations. All was in order.
The
50/50 drawing was won by Ron Albert who donated his winnings to the Help Members
Fund.
With no further business, questions or discussion, a motion to adjourn was made
by Russ P. Jones and seconded by
Bob Shaffer. All were in favor.
