Primetime - Nothing about cannon, just about the Pickett matter. ABC News Web Page had more plus a quote from Joe Long, the Historian for the Camp.

Memorial Day went well and attendance is growing every year. TV 22 news covered the ceremony well. Newsman David DeCosmo is a friend of member John Hart and maybe we can get more coverage next year.

NEW BUSINESS:

No one has had any contact with Bob Yeager so his situation is still not known.

Treasurer Long received $75.00 for the placement of flags on Veterans graves.

4th of July - Secretary Shaffer will represent the Camp, Joe Long will carry the GAR Flag, Russ P Jones will carry the Spanish American War Flag and Howard Wolfe will carry the Camp Flag.

Russ P. Jones attended the North-South Skirmish Association in Winchester, VA. Along with his  brother and nephew. He met Member Ron Albert and his wife there. Had a great time enjoying the pistol, rifle, cannon and mortar competitions.

Secretary Shaffer will draft a letter for the forms from the National Archives.

The Department Encampment went well. Many discussions were held among them being dropping the Junior age limitation from 8 years to 6 years of age. Also, Secretary Shaffer has been nominated and voted in as Department Senior Vice Commander.
