The meeting was called to order by Commander Ron Albert, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Other members in attendance were:

Joe Long Bob Shaffer Howard Wolfe Russ W. Jones Phil Jones

The minutes for the February meeting were read.  The minutes were read and accepted in Parliamentary fashion.

FINANCIAL REPORT:

Joe Long read the financial report with the following information:

84 Members have paid their dues.

End Balance as of March $2,612.91

March ticket winner – Jim Kuzmak

A motion to accept the financial report was made by Bob Shaffer and seconded by Russ W. Jones.   All were in favor and the report was referred to the audit committee.

OLD BUSINESS:

Luncheon – Joe will ask Father McLaughlin to give the Invocation and Benediction if Chaplain Myers is not able to attend.  All members are requested to wear their badges.  Joe also suggested we have 2 members to help out Howard Wolfe when handing out the mugs.  He also stated that there would be other people selling 50/50 tickets for the various organizations.

Memorial Day – Joe contacted Don Cahoon and he suggested that we approach the Priest at St. Clair's Church to be our Guest Speaker.  John Hart will play Taps.  Brianna Mazzacarro will lead the Pledge of Allegiance.  Howard Wolfe will check to see if he can get a Scout to recite the Gettysburg Address.  Russ W. Jones and Phil Jones will help Russ P. Jones get the chairs.

In April we will discuss placing Flags on the Veterans graves.

Encampment – anyone attending should make their reservations at the earliest possible time.  We will also need Delegate Cards for those attending.

There was no contact from Joe Flannery.  Joe will check to see if he can get another number.  He will give us an update on the Monument and Joe suggested that we think about contributing.

NEW BUSINESS:

Secretary Shaffer sent a Thank You letter to the Webelos II Pack #34 of Jessup for their donation.

Commander Albert took measurements for the cabinets with drawers and the flag case we need built.  They would be constructed  by Camp Member Laramie Smith.  He said they would be #2 pine wood unstained, but he would do if needed.

Because of the severity of decay of the flag, Bob Shaffer made a motion that we have this case made now, regardless of the cost.  Russ W. Jones seconded and all were in favor.

With no further business, questions or discussion, a motion to adjourn was made by Bob Shaffer and seconded by Russ W. Jones.  All were in favor.

Respectfully submitted,

Robert C. Shaffer
