We held a discussion on whether or not we should continue selling raffle tickets and whether we should still donate a portion of the proceeds to the Auxiliary. Russ P. Jones stated that this was only going to be done until the Auxiliary was on its feet and self-sustaining. More discussion will follow as to whether we should continue with this or just give them a portion. It was also discussed about setting up these raffles to help support traveling to Department functions for members attending, essay contests, special purpose funds. We also discussed having secondary fundraisers to make money for these separate functions.
A discussion was also held about contributing to the Auxiliary for the
Christmas Party.
It was decided we should stay in good terms with the Ladies.

cost. Chuck
Jones seconded and all were in favor.
NEW BUSINESS
Russ P. Jones read a letter he received from Don Cahoon stating that he is
stepping down from the Board of the Memorial Association.
Don has been on the Board for over 50 years and has contributed
immensely to the success of the Camp and the Association.
Russ said that he would write a letter to Don acknowledging his
resignation.
Joe Long stated that Don wishes to have a Memorial Association meeting at his
home. Joe
suggested the January/February time frame.
We will discuss this further at the December meeting of the
Association.
Russ also mentioned that the Court in Lackawanna County does Don’s appointment.
Joe made a motion that Howard Wolfe fills this position since he is
from Lackawanna County.
Russ W. Jones seconded and all were in favor.
Joe will also talk to Mark Myers about his situation and find out
whether he is returning or not.
It was also decided that the Camp takes over paying Don’s dues.
Secretary Shaffer will also check into the cost of acquiring a Life
Membership for Don.
It was also decided that we should present this to Don at a Camp
dinner and we should also get a plaque made for this occasion.
Secretary Shaffer reported that the Mid-Year Department meeting went well.
The most critical items were the discussion on artifact and record
storage and the change to the Department By-Laws to cover these issues.
Nothing was definite and discussion will follow at the next
Encampment.
Chuck Jones made a motion that the Camp purchases a fund raising calendar
from the Bishop O’Reilly High School.

A discussion was held on who should fill the other chairs needed for the
completion of the Camp list of Officers.
These will be filled when the Commander makes his decision about
staying and whether or not Mark Myers will be returning to the Camp.
It was at this time that Secretary Shaffer cast his one vote to close
nominations.
Russ P. Jones seconded and all were in favor.
With no further business, questions or discussion, a motion to adjourn was
