The minutes for the April meeting were read. A motion to accept the minutes

FINANCIAL REPORT:
Joe Long read the financial report with the following information:
OLD BUSINESS:
Acting Commander Wolfe reported he was unable to gather any information about the sound system. Discussion was tabled until the next meeting.
Acting Commander Wolfe reported that the same Scout that delivered the Gettysburg Address last year would like to do it this year also.
The list of Essay Contest winners was not available at this meeting. Joe Long will bring them in June.
Secretary Shaffer will contact
Memorial Day Program is set to begin at 10:30 a.m. on the 26th of May and all
members should be there by 10:30 a.m. Secretary Shaffer brought in a sample of
the Program and a lengthy discussion ensued as to if any type of photograph
should be placed on the cover. It was decided that no photo of any kind will be
placed on this Program. It was also decided that the Camp and Auxiliary form a
Memorial Day Committee for next year so that all ideas may be taken into
consideration.
NEW BUSINESS:
G. Reed Howard from the Bradbury Camp #149 in Exton has set up a ceremony to
honor his Civil War ancestor 1st Sergeant George R. Resseguie, Company F, 141st
PVI. The Ceremony will be held at the
Secretary Shaffer brought in programs from the Wyoming Valley Civil War Roundtable. Members can browse the information at any time.
Secretary Shaffer reported on the following Correspondence: 1. Department Patriotic Instructor on the importance of Memorial Day and how we should contact our State Representatives to put Memorial Day back on its set date. 2. Department Order #5 from Department Commander Kuhn reporting on Baker/Fisher Camp #101 being back in good standing. 3. Proposed change to the Department By-Laws on the storage of records and artifacts from the Camps in the Department. A discussion on this will be held at the Department Encampment in June.
