MONTHLY MEETING
December 18, 2003
The meeting was called to order by Senior Vice Commander Howard Wolfe, followed by the Pledge
of Allegiance.

The minutes for the November meeting were read.
Change minutes reflect that nominations are up to the Treasurer and
all the rest are appointed positions by the newly elected Commander. A motion to accept the minutes was made by Russ
P. Jones and seconded
by Russ W. Jones.
All were in favor.
FINANCIAL REPORT:
Joe Long read the financial report with the following information:
Corrected balance for December 17th was $1,797.15
December ticket winner was Mary Jo Long
49 members have paid their dues
Ending balance currently was $2,381.15
A motion to accept the financial report was made by Bob Shaffer and seconded
by Ray Sulger.
All were in favor.
OLD BUSINESS:
There is no firm date for the visit by the Department Commander. Will discuss more at the January meeting.
Howard Wolfe brought the clear plastic tube for the tattered flag. There are no caps on the tube and Joe will check and get them. Mike Grayson suggested a patio block to secure the tube for stationary placement. Howard will make a plaque for the flag to be placed on the tube.
NEW BUSINESS
The audit for the Camp books is set for the January meeting. It is suggested that the auditors be there a little early.
Secretary Shaffer para-phrased the Commander in Chiefs' General Order #4 which requested the charter be draped in black for the period of 30 days in honor of Brother Christopher Geiger, a member of the Army National Guard, was killed in action in Afghanistan. He was a member of the Theodore Howell Camp $48, Department of Pennsylvania.
Secretary Shaffer also presented the proceedings for the 123rd Department Encampment and General Order #2 for the membership to read.
Membership Application - Associate for Jeff Krause, son-in-law of Bob Sulger Jr. Committee of Mike Grayson, Russ W. Jones and Phil Jones reviewed and accepted.
Howard Wolfe reported that the Boy Scouts will sponsor a Civil War Camporee on April 16th - 18th at Camp Acahela, Route 155, near Blakeslee Corners.
A motion was made to adjourn the regular meeting and reopen the nomination of Officers for the new year by Bob Shaffer and seconded by Bob Sulger Jr. All were in favor.
Senior Vice Commander Howard Wolfe turned over the proceedings to Russ P. Jones. At this time the acting Commander re-opened the nominations as followed:

At this time, being there is not other nominations; Russ asked that the
secretary cast his vote to close the nominations by Acclimation. Secretary
Shaffer then did so.
