 OLD BUSINESS:

Camp Bible - No progress was made on the repair of our camp bible. John Hart said he would give the bible to Al Sweeny for repairs and Joe Long offered to bring in a temporary substitute.

Patty Lawler Video - The video aired on Channel 44 and Joe Long said people he spoke with liked the program. There may be a follow-up video on the Spanish American War artifacts. Mike Grayson made copies of the presentation for circulation among members.

Appomattox Day Luncheon - The luncheon will take place in Williamsport on April 21 at Genetti's. Past Commanders and Presidents will have an 11 a.m. meeting before the luncheon.

Remembrance Day - Lieutenants Al Sweeney and Dave Heisler were in charge of the Delaney-DeLacy Guard during Remembrance Day and reported everything went well except for the fact that our unit, its flags and the Ladies Auxiliary were separated into various groups by the organizers of the parade. Those who attended stated they disliked having our unit divided and would prefer all our members be kept together in the future.

Delaney-DeLacy Guard - Captain Hart said he would like the  Delaney-DeLacy Guard to participate in the annual Lincoln Day ceremonies to be held in Philadelphia on February 12th. He said the camp provided a wreath for the monument last year and we should do it again. Joe Long made a motion to purchase the wreath and Howard Wolfe seconded. All present voted in favor of the motion.  The Guard will also march in Scranton’s annual St. Patrick’s Day parade. Captain Hart said members of the unit from Binghamton asked if the Guard could participate in that city’s parade the week before. Final details will follow.

Captain Hart said we have successfully secured new flag poles for the GAR plots in Dunmore and St. Rose Cemeteries. Plans for rededication ceremonies are underway.  The Carbondale ceremony is scheduled for April 21st and the Dunmore Cemetery program for Memorial Day.

GAR Museum -  Joe Long said our present location is secure until at least June. Several options, including the possibility of staying here are under discussion.

NEW BUSINESS:

Correspondence - An application of membership for Jerry Skotleski was presented and a three-man committee consisting of John Hart, Ray Sulger and Rich Ryczak.

The annual Lincoln Luncheon will be held by the Gettysburg Camp on Saturday, February 10 at 1 p.m. Cost of luncheon is $15.

Department Order #2 by Lee F. Walters, Commander, Dept. of Pennsylvania was read.

Sharing Our Heritage - Bob Baker asked if we could arrange to bring in some speakers for presentations after our monthly meetings.  Howard Wolfe said we’ve discussed the possibility that members might share information about relatives who participated in the Civil War and this could fit right into such an agenda. Joe Long added that if we decide to bring speakers here we should inform members by newsletter so they can attend. The possibility of allowing the public to attend such events was also discussed. No decisions were made at this time.

Installation of Officers for 2007 -  The following members were sworn in with full ceremonies as camp officers for 2007:
