A good time was had by all that attended.
There was further discussion on the dues issue.
Joe Long said he would like to raise the annual dues to $31.00 to help
cover the cost of increased postage.
Some members suggested raising the dues to an extra four dollars to
$35.00 as a way of raising extra money for the Camp.

October meeting, after we see if the Department is going to raise dues.

Brother McCarthy.
Commander Hart said he would see that Chaplain Scott Teeters received cards
to send out.
Joe Long talked about the Camp bringing in some sort of refreshments at the
Open House, when the Camp decides on a date.

to cover expenses for the year?
A discussion then ensued about ways of raising money, especially
without raising dues.
Steve Thompson mentioned the Civil War Ball.
Commander Hart commented that the Ball doesn’t raise that much money.
It is more of a way of making the public aware of the SUVCW.

money. The
committee members are as follows: Frost Decker, Howard Wolfe, Steve Thompson and
Ray Sulger.
Steve Thompson stated that is old until the First Wisconsin saved money to
preserve their GAR Flag.

to raise money.

birthday. He
said that the Scranton Club will be helping in an effort to raise money for a
monument of Abraham Lincoln.

report by the next meeting.
