OLD BUSINESS:
It was again mentioned that we need help at the Open House. It is
difficult to be in the Museum with someone and try to answer the door at the
same time.
NEW BUSINESS:
Joe long brought to the Camp’s attention to an item donated to the camp by Nick
Petula; a picture frame with a photo of Lincoln in the center and period post
cards around it. Commander Sulger suggested a thank you letter be sent to him by
the Secretary. Joe Long has the contact information.
Frost Decker brought in information about the Shawnee Cemetery in Plymouth.
It is in bad condition and they are trying to clean it up and have a program
called adopt a grave for $25.00. A collection was taken up and two graves
will be adopted.
The April Open House has been moved to the 14th because it was on the
same day as the Appomattox Luncheon.
No official Installation of Officers Ceremony was held because all Officers
remain the same.
Ray Sulger mentioned that on the weekend of June 8, 9, & 10 the SVR will be
hosting the Confederation of Union Generals with several events planned. They
have requested a tour of the museum on Sunday at 1:00 PM. Brother Sulger
asked the other members of the board for the ok. Joe Long had the vote postponed
until the next meeting.
With no further business the meeting was closed.
Respectfully submitted,
Ray Sulger
