NEW BUSINESS:

Joe Long stated that the Camp dues are coming in slowly.  We have 34 members who have not yet paid their dues.  He also let everyone know that we will be having an Open House on Saturday, February 22nd.  It would be appreciated for anyone who can come to help.

Joe Long also brought up Memorial Day.  Our Guest Speaker will be Nick Petula.  He will contact the Dunmore High School on the availability of the school band.  Larissa Ellsworth, granddaughter of Secretary Shaffer, will lead the Pledge of Allegiance.  Justin Swan will have the 143rd Pennsylvania Re-enactors there.  We will need Flag carriers, someone to read the Gettysburg Address and Logan’s Orders.

Joe also commented that when good things are started they rarely never are seen through to the end.

GOOD OF THE ORDER:

Hal Myers gave a brief dissertation on his family during the Civil War, which included what had happened at home and tragedies that occurred during that time and also passed around some pictures and information on his family.  He also gave a brief talk on aspects of what was happening in the South during the War.

With no further business, questions or discussion, the meeting was closed in ritualistic manner.
