MONTHLY MEETING

The meeting was called to order in ritualistic fashion by SVC Jerry Skotleski.

The minutes for the February meeting were read. A motion was made to accept
minutes as read by Lance Stange and seconded by Dale Keklock. All were in favor.
The financial report was read by Joe Long. A motion was made to accept
minutes as read by Giovan Lisi and seconded by George Gyuriska. All were in
favor.
SICK MEMBERS:
Craig Kelly informed the Camp that the daughter of Secretary Shaffer was ill and
is now home.
Acting Commander Skotleski paused the meeting and invited the Ladies
Auxiliary to join the initiation ceremony.
Howard Wolfe was asked to chair the ceremony for Br. Lance Stange.
Howard turned the meeting back over to Acting Commander Skotleski.
Acting Command Skotleski asked the Ladies to remain for discussion on some
issues for the next two months.
A discussion was held concerning the April 20th meeting to be moved
due to that being the Easter weekend.
After much debate
about different weekends, a motion was made to move the meeting to April 6th.
A vote was taken and a majority agreed.
The Lincoln wreath laying ceremony will also be held on April 6th.
If the meeting ends by 11:15, members can make it to Nay Aug Park to
have the ceremony.
It was agreed to contact the County Commissioners Office and the Parks
and Recreation Department for the city, Brian Fallon.
The May meeting will be held on May 18th, which is also the Armed Forces Day
Parade.
Discussion was made as to whether the Sons want to
participate in the parade or hold our meeting.
After several points made by Craig Kelly, the decision was tabled
until the April meeting.
The Memorial Day ceremony at Dunmore Cemetery was discussed and Bill Fischer
agreed to be the guest speaker.
The Ladies Auxiliary is working on the other participants for the
ceremony.
Susan Mertz from the Ladies Auxiliary informed the group that a presentation
at Stone Gables in Elizabethtown, PA, on the Lincoln Train on April 22nd and
23rd.
The train is an exact replica of the train that Lincoln rode on his trip from
Springfield, IL, to Washington, DC, in 1861.
The Ladies were thanked for their input and were excused back to their
meeting.
EAGLE SCOUT COORDINATOR:
Acting Commander Skotleski informed the meeting about the Eagle Scout
ceremonies.
He will be presenting a Badge to Logan Padden on March 23rd at a ceremony in
Wilkes-Barre.
With no further business, the camp was closed in ritualistic manner by Acting
Commander Jerry Skotleski in ritualistic manner.
